Opposition walk out of ADC session , allege misbehaviour by ‘Tipra Motha’ MDC Kamal Koloi

The entire opposition comprising BJP members alone walked out the budget session of the ADC on Tuesday in protest against the alleged misbehaviour and foul utterances of ‘Tipra Motha’ member of the district council (MDC) Kamal Koloi. Briefing the media about the incident the MDC of BJP and leader of the opposition Bimal Chakma said that he had been delivering his opening speech on the budget tabled by the ruling ‘Tipra Motha’ and pointed out certain inconsistencies in allocations for various departments but during his speech the ruling ‘Tipra Motha’ MDC Kamal Koloi had stood up and made foul utterances targeted at the entire opposition.

Bimal told media persons that he had only pointed out the errors in making budgetary allocations as in stead of providing funds for the ‘Jhumias’ (shifting cultivators) the ADC budget had allocated fund for gardening in the official residences of MDCs and exeutive members. Incensed by this Kamal Koloi stood up and abused the opposition members. ‘They have also done another irregularity by keeping the papers and proceedings confined only to ‘Kokborork’ language , leaving aside Bengali which is also an official language of the state” said Bimal. He expressed concern that irregularity in making allocation would ultimately lead to slashing of funds and the tribal people living within ADC will suffer.
